They gave us rides when we needed them, which was so helpful as the house is a little far from the port or train station. Their little house was spotless and very comfortable. The bedding/futons were thick and new--the sheets were also new and had a high thread count. We were provided everything we needed--towels, soaps, shampoos, etc. Could not ask for a sweeter little house or nicer hosts!

Such a beautiful home with the loveliest owners. The owner met us and gave us a tour around the house and his daughter wrote us a gorgeous letter and made origami! We felt so welcome. The home is in a perfect location close to the historial district but away from the hustle and bustle. It had everything we needed and was especially great for our 1.5 year old son with a whole Japanese play room with toys! It would be perfect for a younger baby too as the owner had a baby bath, a rocker and other baby items. Definitely recommend this home for anyone but especially those with young children!

Additional in-room amenities include wine or champagne. The property was so unique, and a highlight of the trip to Japan. Every detail was considered, from the option to have dinner and breakfast included, a well stocked kitchen, blankets, beautiful soaps and an included in stay shop and heritage overview space on an upper floor for the brand that owns the space. Beautiful! I highly recommend staying it, such a unique experience! As an fyi, we were there in second half of December and it was a bit chilly (the property has been renovated but it is an older building), so I recommend if staying in the winter bring some layers. The other fyi, is that I am 6ft tall, and my brother is around 6ft 5inches and due to low ceiling heights (again it is a older renovated beautiful space) we spent a large amount of time bent over going through doorways. All worth it for staying here though! Not critiques about the property, just sharing as fyi if staying here.
