This new and very clean and well equipped apartment on the 1st floor was surely one of the best places we stayed in around Portugal. The owner was very welcoming and charming. She showed us all the facilities… and there were too many to mention. EVERYTHING was there, many little touches, especially an abundant fresh fruit bowl, bread, jams, milk, coffee and tea were a nice touch. It has a fully equipped kitchen and bright bathroom with big rain shower. Good comfy bed and Smart TV. Little seating area too. Location is perfect. 5 mins walk from the main market square, many restaurants to choose from. Free parking in front.

The hosts were very accommodating and amiable. The location is perfect. When we return to the Alentejo we will stay here again.

We were just driving home and wanted a stopover for an evening, but I would have liked to stay much longer. We had a lovely sitting room, kitchen, and balcony with a loft bedroom. The interior was creative, clean, and just very nicely done. The grounds were incredible with a shared outdoor kitchen, sauna, pool, and hottub. We went on a great hike to a local river beach. The host was incredibly kind and attentive! We will be back.

It was such a privilege to stay right in the heart of a beautiful medieval village. The property is outstanding. Heaps of space, extremely well appointed, especially if you want to cook your own meals. And why not when the views from your terrace are so picturesque. Our host provided lots of helpful information in advance and responded promptly to our questions. The bed was very comfortable and there was zero noise at night so sleep was a breeze. Make sure you follow the advice to drive to the property exactly so you don’t end up down a narrow back street.

I only stayed for one night in Monte do Pantaleão, and it was so worth it! The house I chose was very cozy; it had everything necessary to cook. There was so much place to walk outside in nature, and it was wonderful to walk my dogs. The owners of the property are such kind, lovely and welcoming people; I was delighted to meet them. The breakfast was made with local products and they were delicious. The owners gave us a bottle of their own wine to try, and it was really good :) I highly recommend staying here and will definitely return!

Featuring a garden and views of pool, Herdade de Vale Maceiras is a holiday home set in a historic building in Santiago do Cacém, 22 km from Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina. The location is amazing, the island of peace! Our apartment was super clean, smelled amazing and the bes was very comfortable. I specially liked the woodwork around the house. The small apartment was very cleverly (and beautifully) designed. We would definitely come back for a longer period! Thank you for having us!
