I had a great time at Kaesa Homestay. The owner and his family were very helpful, with a map of the town and detailed instructions on the trek and sights. The room was also spacious and comfortable, with a common balcony area that has views of the town.

This is my favorite location I have stayed in Indonesia, very nice large well maintained garden area, large room comfortable bed and bathroom. It had a restaurant at the property which served very tasty and inexpensive food, so no need to search outside for food. They can arrange a guide to take you up to the volcano, or give you a map and some advice, and point you in the right direction. The hosts were the best I have experienced also, friendly family who spoke English and fun to hang out with, great place to recharge after 6 weeks exploring the islands

    We had an amazing stay! The room was perfectly clean and had a very comfy bed. The host were exceptionally helpful in every way! Great tips on how to take the local buses and hike the volcano. Wonderful view from the homestay and very peaceful location. Would definitely stay there again!

    this is a fantastic Homestay. the room is so comfortable. nice hot shower, comfortable bed, big fluffy pillows and soft new linen. The host family are incredible people. They make this place so special. They are so kind and helpful. They organised my sunrise volcano hike, a tour of the ghost town, and my (very) early morning car to the airport. They are excited to share everything they know about Berastagi, and their hospitality is 5 star. Also - they made me a vegan banana pancake and it was amazing!
