Why I came here I came here because the reviews were truly outstanding — and I can only confirm every word. I originally planned to stay one night, but it was so amazing I extended my stay. I wanted something local, and ended up planning a full day with Yousef. Every cent was worth it — without them, you wouldn’t see all this. No pressure, just joy The best part is that he takes you everywhere without pushing you to buy or do anything. Unlike some guides, there’s zero pressure — that alone deserves a 10+! You’re greeted with open arms from the very start. I can’t emphasize enough how truly welcome you feel. We explored rice fields, saw monkeys, did motocross, joined a bamboo workshop, visited multiple waterfalls… 100x thank you!!!

Dear Sukry and Anna, Thank you so much for having us in your lovely home. We highly recommend anyone to stay at MyHome. We have felt very welcome and really enjoyed the amazing susuk food, especially the olah olah and spring rolls. The room is very clean, and the area upstairs is a place where you can feel very relaxed. We spent one evening playing games, playing guitar, and learned a lot from talking to both of you. You are very kind and lovely people. Sukry also guided us with the village tours, and the rice field tours including the black forrest monkeys. For us the rice field tour is a must if you have the time. This has been a highlight of our trip, and will stay in our memories for a long time. Thank you!

Unforgettable scenery and the views, these rooftops are just amazing. Very nice and helpful owner, nice food. You feel immersed into the real living jungle (monkeys come around) and rice field local life, so many walking routes to explore around. Also owners doggies are adorable and hot water in the shower too :)

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. Jonny’s House is in a beautiful, quiet location overlooking the rice fields. Jonny and his family are very friendly and made us feel welcome from the very beginning of our stay. The food is delicious, home style cooking with a nice variety of local dishes (we recommend the curry and a dish called urap-urap especially). The highlight of our stay was the 2D1N trek to Rinjani second summit. It’s a challenging hike but the views are incredible and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Jonny helped to arrange a fantastic guide for our hike (our guide was named Yan) who was super nice and knowledgeable, and really looked after us to make sure we had the best experience possible. The room is simple but very clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for a great way to experience Tetebatu with a local family, Jonny’s House is the place!

We were staying for 2 nights with my family (2 adults and 3 kids) in September, 2024. The family room is new and spacious, with amazing view to sunrise and rice fields, and to mountains on the left side. The furniture and all the facilities are new, clean and looking very good 👍 there are 3 beds, one is really big and two single beds so for our big family we felt very comfortable, there was enough place for everybody. Outside veranda is big and private, kids were playing here. There is aircon inside the room but you don’t really need it, we enjoyed sleeping with open windows, and there were no mosquitoes. Also there is a hot water in the room that’s really good if you have children.

The staff were absolutely amazing! They were constantly offering us fruits, tea, and snacks for the duration of our stay and welcomed us into their family. Its truly an authentic experience worth doing as you are immersed in their culture and staying in the forest with beautiful views of the mountain. They offered free water and although you are not right in the town they offer food right on the property for cheap prices. We did both a rice paddies/monkey forest/waterfall tour and a private cooking class with the family and both were amazing experiences. Its not often you get to have private tours with the locals and get to learn so much about their culture. Each evening they had a fire where they would roast some corn or sweet potato for us. They really aim to please and make you have a great experience. The bamboo bungalow was beautiful and handmade. If you are thinking about booking.. do it now! You won’t regret it.
