The mini-lounge and fully equipped mini-kitchen just outside my door - shared with only one other room (whom I never saw) were a brilliant bonus. Free Wifi, sitting on a sofa, free coffee, croissant bought just a minute walk away - lovely.

Geraldine and her husband were wonderful hosts. Their house was lovely, and the room was just what we needed. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Parking on-site. Amazing water pressure shower. In-room coffee/tea. The self-service breakfast was fantastic and tons of options. She even had homemade soda bread that was outstanding and delicious. My partners big highlight was seeing their robot lawnmower in action. He and Geraldine discussed how it works and gets set up, and now he is excited to get one when we return home. Thanks for the great advice! The big highlight for me was petting their donkey! The cutie was so nice and had the softest nose. Highly recommend a stay here. It was fantastic.

The Gala House felt like “coming home”. I was well looked after and the owners went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The room had a stunning view of Knocknarea, which has often filled my memories and made me long to go back to County Sligo. I was exhausted after a long travel day and couldn’t wait to go to bed. I slept so well and woke up feeling much better. (I was given sage advice from the owner on how to beating jet lag and it worked!) The Gala house was clean, cosy and comfortable. Walking down to the beach is quick and easy and the town has lots of great choices for food and drinks. I hope to return soon. Thank You everyone at Gala House!

Damian is an amiable host, who goes out of his way to ensure you have a comfortable enjoyable stay. The location is excellent being close to the N4 carriageway giving easy access to the surrounding area. The accommodation was spotlessly clean. Will certainly be returning God willing.

Loved the bedroom it was very comfortable and great storage. It was easy to checkin and out. When I initially booked I didn't realize that it was accommodation shared with the host, but we basically had the place to ourselves, no issues with the shared bathroom or anything. Could use the kettle and living room balcony to dry towels just like a hotel.
