I liked everything about this small guesthouse. To start off, Aparna is the best hostess you could ever ask for. A very warm, welcoming and funny lady. I feel we became friends by the end of my week stay. Next, you basically have a private huge beach a short nice walk away which was a treasure. Then there is the delicious cooking. Each morning I got to try some very Kerela authentic breakfast items, which I greatly enjoyed. I specifically came to see the Thayyam ( Google it, they are super unique and cool to this region of Kerela) and Aparna - was able to arrange a great driver/guide to bring me to see them. You can also see black pepper, cinnamon, curry, tamarind, mangoes, pineapples and jack fruit all growing on the property! Ivory Coaste is the perfect place to relax and decompress. Especially if you’ve been traveling a long while like I had been doing. Also, there was a great mix of guests from around the world, so it was great exchanging stories with them. All in all, my time spent here was one of the highlights from my 2 months in India!
