When booking this place, I knew that I would want a break from the city life (From Kochi then Trivandrum) and it was exactly that. My stay was only 4 days, but by the end, I was hoping I could live there forever! Deepa is the host, and is supported by her family members who were always smiling, kind, and helpful. They prepared meals, planned adventures, and gave suggestions on how to spend the time. The space was clean and very quiet. I spent a lot of time reading or walking around the island viewing the backwaters - most of the people would smile and greet with a happy hello. The food was so delicious - I highly recommend the clams!

We had the most amazing time here. It's a cute little house right opposite the river and the place is immaculately clean and tidy with homely food. Suresh sir will go out of his way to make sure your stay is perfect in every sense. Island exploration and the sunset canoe ride was exceptional. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a hassle free, laid-back vacation experience.

What an absolute gem of a place. You have already seen the pics and read the reviews of how beautiful the riverside setting of the homestay is. So let me say a few words about the genuine hospitality of Sunaina, her brother-in-law Vinod and the rest of the family and friends who all work together to make a wonderful experience for the guests. You can absolutely feel that for them most important is to ensure that the guests get the best experience possible by visiting their place and Munroe overall. They helped arrange lunch, taxi, boat ride, toddy for us :) ... practically planned the whole trip for us. The property was super modern and clean...expect European standards. The home food that the family cooked was super tasty and sumptuous. They customised the spice level for us to suit our European palate and it indeed was a revelation to have amazing food in an amazing setting. Special shoutout to Vinod for his finger licking good Green Chromide fish dish (truly your signature dish!). Thanks again for everything and looking forward to coming back again.

The home stay was just great. I got to stay in the new room with a huge bed and large bathroom. Unni and his family were so welcoming and really made you feel they are super happy that you are there. His mom prepared delicious and authentic home-made Kerala food and Unni took us on a sunrise boat trip which was simply amazing as it was so peaceful and lovely to cruise through the backwaters.

Peaceful place, spacious clean room and nicely decorated. Vishnu and his family were super nice and welcoming, providing great food and beer! 😄 Vishnu speaks English well, and can answer your questions regarding local costumes. There were two festivals and he took me to experience and see them while patiently answering my questions 🙏 the boat tour was also nice and tranquil.
