If you want an authentic Cambodian experience, staying with the most lovely and welcoming family you’ll ever meet with delicious Khmer food family dinners, stay at Tonle Mekong Homestay. The facilities are nice and the wifi works great, also the owner will happily drive you by Tuk tuk into town for free. I highly recommend staying here if you come to Kratie!

The property was located in a very nice part of the town, right between locals, offering a quiet and peaceful escape. The property offered nice clean rooms, clean bathroom and a great common area outside. The owner was amazing!! He made great breakfast and was quick to help me with whatever I needed: tuktuk, tours, recommendations, etc. I would 100% recommend this place.

Dary’s guesthouse is a fantastic place to stay. It’s a modern building constructed in 2023, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. The host, Dary, is the kindest person you’ll ever meet. She goes above and beyond to make her guests happy. We had many fascinating conversations with her and learned a wealth of information about Cambodia, Kratie, and herself. I ate a couple of times at the guesthouse and the food is fresh and tastes very nice. The guesthouse is located a bit further away from the city center (15-30min). However, the walk along the Mekong is very pleasant. Alternatively, you can rent bikes at the guesthouse or order a TukTuk (around 2$).

Absolutely loved this charming hotel. Amazing staff. Alex was exceptional with his attention to detail and advice about Kratie. Rooftop patio offered stunning view of sunset. Common areas were tastefully decorated with treasured pieces with stories to tell. The room itself was exceptionally spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. The shower was lovely. The hotel is located in a very central area. Easy to walk around the city and explore the market. Bikes were readily available and in very good shape. All in all would highly recommend this hotel. Definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Kratie!

I enjoyed going on a tour around some of the nearby towns and villages. The homestay is right next to the local market so, while it might be an early start each day, it's great to get up and wander down the little market street. Also, had the most delicious khmer curry cooked by the host (and myself helping out!).

Lovely family Homestay. The property was clean, comfortable and a great location with a local market right on the doorstep. The hosts cooked a delicious meal (some of if not the best food we’ve had in Cambodia) each night for more than affordable prices. It was nice to sit and eat with the family and other travellers. Our hosts offered help with organising transfers and also offer a local tour which was a really fun day. 10/10 recommend staying here for a local experience. Excellent value.

Tonle Mekong Homestay exceeded our expectations! Sok, the owner, was incredibly kind and made us feel like part of the family. The local tour was fantastic, and Sok even helped us book additional activities like the dolphin tour and our bus for departure. Highly recommend for an authentic experience!

The homestay is next to a little market at the river side, south of the center of Kratie. The owner is a good cook. I booked a very nice day long tour with the owner. I particulary enjoyed the opposite (to Kratie) side of the Mekong. We hired a boat there to bring us to the nearby small islands. But there are many other things to experience on this tour: Phnom Sambok, dolphin watching, relaxing with the locals at "Mekong rapids", water buffalos, brick and charcoal production,...

Very welcoming family, homestay at its best. Dinner was great and the morning market perfect to buy breakfast or some snacks for the day. The village tour along the Mekong was amazing, you really get to see how people live and work. Highly recommend!

This is a must stay. The best homestay we had in all Cambodia. The owner is very helpful, generous and kind. We enjoyed the countryside, the kids around, learning about the culture, the cute rooms and the good dinner he made for us.

Amazing hospitality.... Really authentic homestay right next to small market and the river. The locals also love to use their restaurant in the morning for their breakfast and the food is great. The owner also speaks great English and can help arrange tours and busses for travelling onwards. All round can't recommend any more highly
