when i booked the place, i was a bit spectical , just hoping it turns out as shown in the pict and reviews. when we reached the place and checked in, was amazed that the place is exceptional , just like stated. the host were very warm and welcoming. made us feel welcomed and safe. the rooms were clean, good quality linen and towels, all the stuff in the room looked so beautiful and well kept. they have really invested in the place with passion and care to ensure we feel comfortable. The breakfast provided as great, the host family made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. its very close to the beach, about 10-15 mintes walking.. we overall enjoyed our stay.

Jeremy and his staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The morning breakfasts were absolutely fantastic. We came as a family, so having two adjoining rooms was a great bonus. It’s a beautiful property and the beach access was good as well.

日本語も英語も話せるオーナー I had an incredible stay at this minimalist and modern accommodation. The room was new, clean, and beautifully designed. The lush garden featured a charming hammock and swing, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming. We can ask delicious local breakfast based on our preferences, and the owner's coffee was simply outstanding. Essentials like bath towels and toilet paper were provided. The property was a wildlife haven, with two adorable dogs and frequent visits from monkeys, birds, and squirrels. Convenience was key—supermarkets, restaurants, and beaches were all within walking distance. The motorbike rental service significantly expanded my exploration possibilities. His warm family—always smiling and incredibly kind—made the stay truly memorable. His mom even cooked curry for us. It was delicious. An unexpected delight was discovering the owner, Amila, speaks fluent Japanese. He generously shared insights about Sri Lankan culture, making this more than just a accommodation, but a cultural experience. Highly recommended!

The location was really good. Just 2 minutes from the main road which we had no noise from street which I understand it is must when you choose hotel in sri lanka. And the host was really helpful. Smart women as host made kitchen and all necessary equipment to have comfortable stay. We were tired of street food and here we were easily cooking for ourself which was important for us. They were so kind and helped us with ice coffee, tea and coconut. Definitely come back.

Betas place was our favorite stay in Sri Lanka! The room was spacious, comfortable, hot water, great wifi, excellent AC, and super close to the beach. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The upstairs area was great for a work video call. The breakfast located at a different restaurant was picturesque and tasty. Highly recommend, we would definitely return and wish we stayed longer!

The wifi is great and the garden is an amazing place to work, calm and cute. The family is very kind and helpful people. I came to stay for a night but ended up staying for a week. Very good value for its price. The breakfasts were great. I loved my mornings here coming from surfing, take a shower and wait for the amazing breakfast in the garden. Having conversations with the other guests. I already know if i come again to hiriketiya this will be the place to stay for me. Also the bed was comfortable and the house was clean.

Spent 3 weeks in Sri Lanka in different places and this was by far the best accommodation experience! The rooms are HUGE, a lot of electricity sockets are available, the owner is very attentive and caring - he gave me his WhatsApp number right away and was very responsive and helpful, laundry services are great, shower has hot water, great ac and just 3 minutes walk to the amazing Dickwella beach.

It is actually a place where you can feel the peace inside the property. We were stayed for one night where we travel through Dikwella. My Wife and Kid love the place and Uncle and Auntie who manage the property is very generous and lovely people. The place and air is very clean and I would go there again just to stay and read a good book while taste mouthwatering Sri Lankan food.

    That was the best home stay experience in Sri Lanka. It is located a few minutes away from the beach. Place is exceptionally cosy, clean and comfortable. Room was just beautiful with nice bed, private bathroom with hot shower and all facilities you can imagine. We used the kitchen for cooking our food which was great after long weeks of traveling. Big thank you for the host family - you made our stay here simply wonderful. We recommend this place if you plan to stay in Dikwella.

    best place to be! great location for those who want quiet, highly maintained accommodation at reasonable prices. the breakfast was amazing every day, was diverse and I think it was the best dishes and local food i have eaten in sri Lanka. the host family was super nice and even taught me how to make Sri Lankan food. the view is so beautiful and there is a beautiful garden where they bring the mangoes for breakfast. thank you so much

    1. Excellent location, just 5mins walk to Hirikiteya beach and 30mins to Blue Beach. All the shops n eating joints were about 7mins walk 2. Lovely hosts, run by a family. Humble, friendly and ready to help 3. House converted to a homestay and dorm rooms. Nice big terrace where dorm rooms are location. Quiet and a lot of open space 4. Tea/Coffee maker and refrigerator available for use.

    It has some kind of cozy homely vibe . travelling solo and found a good host family in a foreign country made me feel like home. The behaviour of the Host couple is amazing, they are so friendly and I had the best Srilankan food made by Nimal 👌🏻💕
