We had an amazing experience staying at Mountain Shack home stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with every meal prepared fresh and full of local flavors. We absolutely LOVED “Lush in Ella”. If you are wanting to experience peaceful oasis in Ella, this is the place. The design of this unique space hits all the marks in an off the beaten path stay. A junglalow with a view of waterfall, the jungle sounds immersed in nature. The room is private, super clean and the design of the space is just perfect 🤩 it is a 10 out of 10!!! Saman and her husband were so helpful and kind. The breakfast was awesome… we are vegan and they were very accommodating. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts! 🙏❤️

Everything! We totally recommend this place, the staff/manager was so friendly and we were even offered some snacks and coffee/tea upon arrival. The room was big and clean, there were a lot of facilities (e.g. minifridge etc.) and the balcony was as well very pretty. The street in frond has a lot of traffic but after 9pm it gets really quiet. There is no AC but a good fan and because of the cooler temperatures in Ella AC is not necessary. The location itself was just PERFECT, it‘s a 10min walk to the Nine Arches Bridge through stunning jungle and just 5-10min by foot to the centre of Ella!

They provided the best breakfast we had on our entire trip with wonderful pancakes, fresh fruit, and local cuisine. The staff offered us TukTuk transportation around Ella at very reasonable prices and were always available and helpful. The internet was a bit spotty at times, but I guess that is normal for being way out in mountainous nature, and it is a good trade off for the excellent view and being within walking distance of Ella Rock

Lovely host family, very welcoming. Amazing views from the terraces on each level. Rooms are comfortable with hot water showers and air con. Great breakfast in the morning. We asked for omelettes the second day and this was not a problem. Just bear in mind there is a very steep hill down to the accommodation so bear in mind if you have any difficulty mobility wise. The Main Street is very close for restaurants etc and the walk to the nine arch bridge and little Adam’s peak is quite close from the homestay.

We really loved our stay in Happy Horizon Home Stay. Very nice owners, great breakfast, beautiful view, ... You can easily reach Ella town by foot and Happy Horizon Homestay is the ideal starting point for a hike to Ella rock.
