The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The owner was incredibly kind and supportive, making sure all of my needs were met,even going the extra mile to drive me off in kandy.The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was also perfect, close to local attractions and with easy access to transport. Overall, I highly recommend Stone Gate to anyone visiting the area. I will definitely be back!

All we can say is WOW! This was not only the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka, it might be the best we’ve stayed anywhere. The room and property were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. But what truly made it special were the hosts, Jaliya and Shama. They were incredibly kind and helpful, Jaliya met us on the road when we arrived after dark and even helped us find a mechanic the next day for our tuk-tuk. Shama’s cooking was absolutely amazing! The best meals we had in Sri Lanka and we loved our conversations over dinner. Couldn’t recommend this place more! Thanks for everything! Emma & Albert

I had an incredible experience staying here. The host and his family were absolutely amazing—so warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. They went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and well taken care of. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious Sri Lankan food they served. Each meal was a delightful culinary journey, full of authentic flavors and prepared with so much care. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged, making my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I absolutely loved my time here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming, home-like atmosphere with exceptional service and fantastic food. The house is clean and fresh, a home away from home. Raj is a gem of a man! Knowledgeable and helpful in your needs. You could say he's sweeter than the sweetest tea. 🍵 The location is away from the busy centre which makes for a relaxing retreat. The housekeeper he has is friendly and the breakfast is served with a smile and is finger licking good. If you need anything like you're laundry doing then the team are happy to help. I arrived drained and I left mystified! ✨️
