Best location for going to multiple tourist locations. Room looks exactly as in the picture. They even provided an extra mattress for my brother and all the extra amenities! Lovely people, oh they also gave us fresh bread, 1st day was coffee bread and the other day was orange bread. Amazing! Highly recommend this to people who are indecisive and have hard time deciding, like me. I went through multiple hotels and home stays and finally decided on this one and I must say, I’m blessed to have stayed here. Thanks to the owners for being so kind and nice. 💕

It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. Housed in a beautifully restored heritage building, this guesthouse seamlessly blends historic charm with modern comfort. The rooms were impeccably clean and exuded comfort, with plush beds ensuring a restful night's sleep. The common areas were equally impressive, with stylish decor and well-appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Despite being open for only two weeks, the owner were incredibly helpful and informative, offering valuable tips for exploring the area. Located in the heart of George Town, the guesthouse is conveniently situated within walking distance of numerous restaurants, cafes, and attractions. Overall, my experience at Aayu Melayu was wonderful, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Penang.

It’s a new accommodation in town but doesn’t have the freshly renovated smell at all! The bed is very comfy and I slept like a baby throughout the night. It’s a shared bathroom hotel but the hotel only accommodates dozen of people at the same time thus they are cleaned and well maintained. Very close to the hot tourist spots and restaurants. A cleaner is here to keep the whole place hygienic. Not to mention the indoor plants make the space really nice and green. Would love to stay here again.

Room with private bathroom was huge and bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was also huge and bright. I like the walk-in wardrobe which allows me to store my clothes and stuff for the week I was there. Only 3 rooms in this shophouse, which makes it a nice private place to stay. The ground shared space provided the necessary amenities like fridge and kettle and washing machine and dryer. A stone´s throw away from Kimberly Street night market. Host was constantly checking on me every day, and is always responsive to my text as well.
