Wow I don't even know where to start. This place is just amazing. Couldn't ask for anything more as it totally exceeded my expectations. Clean,comfortable,quiet and situated in a prime location that makes getting around easy for even a first time traveller. To add to that, the hosts are very heartwarming. Kind,courteous and they go all out to ensure that you're comfortable. Could go on and on in my review but in a nutshell it's truly what u see, you're getting and more. He made the trip feel more like visiting friends and the set up was much better than staying in a corporate hotel. Even if you're not into art you'll enjoy a stay. We spent most of our time visiting friends in other parts of BK, the burbs, and Manhattan but we could have easily spent more time in the area. Prospect Park and the Brooklyn museum are must sees. If you are into painting and portraits the entire apartment is a gallery and the portrait Boris will provide for you is a nice touch.

Syd is a very nice person. He waited for me till almost 1 am (I had a late evening flight) and was really friendly. We hadn’t the time to interact that much, but I’d say that if everybody were as cool as him things would be much better in this world. The house is easy to reach from the subway and in 20 minutes you will arrive at Manhattan. The airport is 90 minutes away. But... the house is in really bad conditions. What must be clean (sheets,floor, bathroom) is clean. And this is essential and makes me saying that I would come back (well, first reason is that Syd is really nice). But... nothing works in the bathroom, apart from flush (wow!) painting is peeling away everywhere, everything is in full disorder... Syd, do something: yes, you can!

This homestay is 14 km from Barclays Center and 4.4 km from Brooklyn Academy of Music. The price is unbeatable. The room and the apartment are super clean. The host is ready to help, provided us with umbrellas, and keeps up the apartment very well. The kitchen is very useful for a family stay. This was truly our home away from home. Our room had a comfortable queen size sofa and a bunk bed, so it fits four guests. It had a giant TV and a desk to work plus countless USB chargers around the rooms which is convenient. There is another bigger room with a real bed and a bunk bed in the apartment which is rented out too. The host might ask you for a favor to bring some stuff from/to your country of origin. Mike is a great guy and is fun to chat with if you're up to. Thanks Mike for a good stay!
