The Mango Guest House is set in Aswan, 700 metres from Aswan Christian Cathedral and 1 km from El-Tabia Mosque. The guest house has a barbecue and sun terrace, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. We loved our stay at Mango. On Elephanite island so get a real authentic Numbian experience plus some peace and quiet. We were offered arranged transport from the train station, allowed early check in, beautiful big newly renovated room, nice laid back area with beautiful gardens. Staff were so friendly and helped arrange our Abu Simbel trip (even packed us a Bfast to bring along) and booked us a private ferry so we could catch our early train. Couldn't recommend this place more! Also make sure to check out Nubian Dream Restaurant (right off the ferry on the island-family run, home cooking, laid back, beautiful view over the Nile and cold beer!)

Situated in Gharb Sahel, a Nubian village on the west bank of the Nile, Ekadolli Nubian Guesthouse Aswan sits opposite to the city of Aswan and overlooks The First Cataracts. It boasts air-conditioned accommodation. Meal time was the best time. The portions were MASSIVE and absolutely delicious. The view is also stunning from the rooftop and probably the best WiFi I had in all of Egypt.

The rooms at Guesthouse Bet El Kerem are simply furnished and are located in two buildings. One building has a view to the Nile, while the other looks onto the desert and Tombs of Nobles. All rooms have private bathrooms. Guests can relax at the rooftop terrace. The privacy, the impeccable and GENUINE hospitality of the owner and all the staff. It was without a doubt the most confortable and warmest welcome to Egypt that I’ve received. Unlike every other accommodation I used while in Egypt, the owner never tried to swindle or cheat me, in fact he shared his local knowledge so that I could get to Abu Simbel using local transportation. It was truly the best experience I had in Egypt, please stay here.

I loved that it was overlooking the quieter side of the Nile. A truly magical scene. Mohamed's sister's food was tasty and felt like a family experience in a village atmosphere. Mohamed was obliging and was willing to cater to other requirements such as visiting sites, boat rides, transport, etc. It was typical homestay experience.

David is a very good host. He gave a lift to a group of us to Aswan downtown for free in his car, and then he went to pick us up. Also on the excursion’s day to Abu simbel, he had made snacks to bring with us which were delicious 😁 I do highly recommend to stay in this hostel if you are either travelling alone or in group for few days in Aswan. Price is fair for facilities you will get, but hospitality is quite massive.
