Beautifully decorated, spacious, comfortable and quiet. A lovely place. The owner was very kind, and even offered to make dinner reservations, since we were traveling. We appreciated that very much. Breakfast was lovely.

It's a large room clean and with a good bathroom ensuite. Quiet and efficient air-conditioning made the hot weather bearable. Local buses regularly drive past, the bus stop a minute walk from the gate . We highly recommend walking across the nearby island to the other side. There's also shops up the hill behind, but the road is impressively steep, not a great thing in a thirty degree plus afternoon, but if you do there's a supermarket chocolate shop, maccas and plenty more. Impressive fireworks on Bastille day!

This is such a charming property! Mind you, Lydie has a bohemian style, so if you aren’t into that, you may find it quirky. I absolutely adored the thoughtful originality! The tub/shower is open to the room, so bear that in mind. The bed is divine! The grounds are a lovely wild garden with a small pool hidden away. It’s complete peace. Now let’s talk breakfast! Lydie takes great pride in her carefully prepared breakfasts and it shows. You have a choice of sweet or savory breakfasts, whichever your preference, that she delivers it to your room. Her originality even extends to the presentation: jam served in egg cups and sugar cubes in a small Bonne Maman jar. ❤️ It is beyond sweet. Frankly, this is one of the most original and charming places I’ve ever stayed in. Lydie is amazing also. I can’t say enough about her understanding and flexibility. I messed up our reserved days and she completely went with the flow. Mind you, Lydie only speaks French, so if your French isn’t conversational, you will probably need a translator app.

Gerard a fastastic host even our language balance was not a problem at all. He made a nice french breakfast every morning,with tasty local jams also coffee and tea were available for free anytime with a minikitchen. He'd responded my messages immediately. Also give me some advice about the local interestings and historical sightseeing. With public transport everything close, easy access to public transport.

By far it was one of the best places I ever stayed in during my trips. The location was quiet, far from the city noise. The house was clean, we had everything we need. The beds were comfortable, the room was cozy and warm. Amazing breakfast and the host paid a lot of attention to the dining and to our needs. She gave us also recommendations of restaurants, routes, stores and what to visit. She was available even when we called late at night. Our trip was during end of November- start of December and it was great. If you go there in the summer, the pool will be ready for you. It was worthy ! We loved it.

The structure is absolutely wonderful—peaceful, charming, and beautifully maintained. We arrived on a hot afternoon in late May for a short break and were immediately captivated by the green surroundings. The air was filled with a sense of calm and serenity that made us feel relaxed from the very first moment. The welcome we received was warm and genuine, making us feel right at home. Our room was spotless and the bed comfortable, perfect for a night’s sleep. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, local products, served with a view of the garden. Every detail reflected care and quality, and the overall atmosphere made for a memorable stay.

Superb accommodation and wonderful host. We really appreciated the cool pool on arrival, the homely touches, and especially the breakfast with homemade yoghurt, jams, and granola. Great value and very comfortable room with aircon.

Located in Charentay, La Maison des Vignes features barbecue facilities, garden and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy the shared lounge and garden views. We had a fantastic stay! The accommodation is located amongst vines and is so tranquil. We went to some nearby vineyards for tastings. The rooms are lovely with everything you need. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the property one evening and it was delicious. They served us a beautiful salad, dumpling ragout & an incredible cheese board. Spending time with their beautiful dogs topped off the stay for us! NB. Not all vineyards open when they say. Chateau de Pizay is worth a visit, it does a self guided wine tasting for €10 - it is a beautiful property & you get to keep the wine glass
