The prestigious Almorah Hotel was built around 1841 and is a listed building of great importance. It is situated in an elevated position above the town of St Helier with magnificent views over the town and its interesting harbour filled with a mixture of fishing boats and private yachts. The rooms were comfortable, and the owner was very kind. She served the breakfast herself with patient humor for two travelers who were just starting out on their next big adventure. We even came back to stay one more night at the end of our adventure.
