The facilities were new and clean. The gentleman at reception was very polite, friendly, and helpful. He gave us a map and several tips about the city, as well as coffee and cookies while we waited for the room to be ready. Every day, there were brownie-like sweets at reception, and in the room they replenished a bottle of water and a delicious chocolate daily. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and stocked with toiletries, and the shower worked very well (it was large, and the temperature control was excellent). The hotel is well located—25 minutes on foot from Princes Street, with a bus stop just a few steps away. Highly recommended.

Krásné, čisté ubytování ve výborné lokalitě, pouze 4 minuty chůze na zastávku, odkud jezdí přímé spoje na letiště i do centra města. Pokoj byl prostorný, velmi dobře vybavený. Dobrá komunikace s hostitelkou Laurou. Velmi jsme ocenili zázemí v kuchyni pro přípravu snídaně.

I had an excellent stay. Everything was exceptionally clean, and I was welcomed very warmly upon arrival bit also during my whole stay. Hospitality 10/10. The bed was very comfortable, and all the amenities were great. The breakfast was simple but more than enough to start the day. Overall, a wonderful experience — highly recommended! Location is so close to bus stop if you don't want to take beautiful opportunity of walking to city centre on the Water of Leith Walkway

Absolutely loved the Lauderville guest house. Host was incredible and nothing was too much to ask. The four poster room was incredibly cosy and the perfect setting for our Christmas break.

We had such a lovely stay at the Sheridan Guest House with Tom and Rowena. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Our room was not only clean and spacious but also beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail. One of the highlights was being able to catch a glimpse of the old town from our loft room in the attic when the weather was clear—such a nice touch! And of course the conversations with Tom at breakfast. The location couldn’t be better, with a bus stop right outside and a walk along the Water of Leith leading to some great restaurants in Leith. We’d happily stay here again!

The complete experience was amazing. It was sad that I couldn't meet Elizabeth due to personal issues, but her daughter was excellent, and they gave me a non-required compensation for the breakfast. I strongly recommend this lovely place to stay in their Scotland vacations.

In general, accommodation around Edinburgh is quite expensive so we found this place which was relatively affordable compared to other places and had a high rating. It is a house-turned-b&b, has 3 small rooms and a nice small dining room. Everything was super clean and Lorna was the friendliest host we have ever met. She gives you a small form to fill every night to get your breakfast preferences and time to eat. Her cooking is lovely. Definitely recommend her full Scottish breakfast with Haggis. She cooked the best haggis out of the 3 restaurants we tried. The only downside was that the place is quite far from the city (45 min bus ride - take X27) and there is only one bus that goes there but if you catch it and don't mind the travel time, it is definitely worth a stay.
