Contact with the manager only by phone, that's a pity, contact with the local family who takes care of the accommodation and food is very good, though little English.

Everything is clean and the meals delicious. The best choice to meet wild fauna and wonderful people. Bohomo istouti!!

The room was spacious and clean. Each room has its own terrace, and there’s also plenty of seating in the beautiful garden. Every morning, we had breakfast in the treehouse overlooking the lake. Gamini and his wife are such lovely hosts. He picked us up from the train station, organized a safari and an Ayurveda treatment for us, and took us on a tour to see Sigiriya/Pidurangala Rock and the temples in Dambulla. His wife prepared delicious dinners and breakfasts for us. They always made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. The Wi-Fi was also good.

There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Every room has a terrace with views of the garden. The property was lovely and serene. Kalahara, the host, was just exceptional. He does not overlook a single detail and he is gracious and willing to share excellent suggestions with you. I loved that he walked me through his garden, pointing out all of the unique trees and plants he has.

Kumbichchan Kulama Tank is 3.5 km from the homestay, while Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is 3.8 km from the property. Sigiriya Airport is 71 km away. An absolute haven close to the sacred city sites of Anuradhapura. Peaceful, set back about 75m from the road. Beautifully appointed rooms and a welcoming dining/reception area - exactly as shown in the photos on this site. What the photos do not reveal is the exceptional service and kindness of the owner and all of his staff. Nor do they convey the outstanding quality of the meals served. It is rare to find a welcoming home away from home as good as Golden Ray Villa and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Jeewa, Masha and Oleena are absolut delights. The place is located in a quiet part of habarana, very calming and relaxing with trees, flowers, birds. The rooms are big and convenient. And the best is the hospitality of the hosts, and how Jeewa helped me plan my days, always with the best experiences and best prices. I LOVED staying there. I will for sure go back if I come again to sri lanka !!
