John the owner he’s not doing that “host” act. He’s just a solid guy who actually shows up for his guests. No delays, no excuses, no attitude. You need something? It’s done. You’ve got questions? He answers them before you even ask. No ego, no weird vibe just pure respect and presence. It’s rare as hell. Even the scooter rental is on point brand new, rides clean, price is fair. Not one of those beat-up bikes everyone else tries to pass off as “ok.” This isn’t just a place to sleep. It’s run properly. It feels good. You can tell someone gives a shit about the details and that alone makes it better than half the so-called “top-rated” places out there. Stay here. That’s it.

This place is perfection. Close to bustle of GL for when you want to experience that, but removed enough to feel peaceful. The staff are amazing; Em was full of tips and suggestions. She was always quick to respond and helpful with anything you might need in Siargao. This was my second trip to Siargao and this spot really exceeded expectations and remains the best place I've stayed at in Siargao. The multiple backup options are also SUPER convenient. I was on a Zoom call with my boss, and the power went out, and it was not noticeable. The wifi still worked, a backup light came on, and the rechargeable fans kept me cool. They are really prepared for everything. The property is exceptionally clean as well. Highly highly recommend.

The owners are incredibly helpful, I was shown all of the surf spots in the north. Barry was very happy to give me all the best spots and showed me where they are on his scooter. It's a comfortable place with a nice relaxed atmosphere. I would highly recommend staying here!

18 km from Magpupungko Rock Pools, Izustarri is a recently renovated property located in Burgos and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The property features mountain and garden views, and is 46 km from Naked Island. The homestay features parking on-site, a pool with a view and luggage storage space. The location is amazing. The hotel itself sits right up on the cliffs. If you have a room facing the ocean you can clearly see and hear the waves. It is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. The rooftop allows everyone to access this view as well and has a bar making it a great place to have a drink and watch the ocean or the stars at night. On top of all this the rooms are spacious, the bed is comfortable, and the mixture of the cement styling with the wooden features gives a wonderful contrast. Finally, the owners are very friendly, they both introduced themselves when we checked in and helped us throughout our stay, including providing contacts for surfing lessons which were great as it felt a lot less populated at the north of the island for this. Overall it is a must stay if you are in Siargao.
