They even prepare for us the map with highlighted arrtactions in the near location and very detailed instructions how to use all public transportation. The facility and the room was excelent. Especially the bed was vwry confortable. At the end of stay stuff arranged for us Shuttle Bus to the Airport. Will defenetly book Ellie's Guest House again when I will Return to Brisbane.

Hostels. What are they?

Way more than just a cheap place to sleep, hostels are a social way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens or games rooms are great ways to swap tips, tricks and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long, long way since the first youth hostel opened in 1912. From budget 'crash-pads' to five-star 'poshtels', today, hostels are for everybody, so whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll find most hostels are cheaper than a local hotel and far more fun.
