Lovely pool to cool down in. Social areas with hammocks. Really friendly and helpful staff, especially Sofi. She really helped us out when i wasn’t feeling well and quickly arranged for a room to be clean so we could check in early. Immaculate rooms which were spacious and comfortable beds. Fridge in the room was ideal and a kitchen to cook in. Also hot water in the shower. Great stay and I would highly recommend the place.

The hostel is really nice! Good common spaces, and a really naive pool. Is really near to the beach entrance. The best thing is the people that work there, they are super nice and helpful.

We are beginning- intermediate surfers and stayed at El Gato Rojas as a family with two grown kids. It was the perfect place for us and gave the kids some car-free independence. We able to enjoy the beach, sleep in, cook food in the communal kitchens, take the bus to the waterfalls and play at surfing. The grocery store and ATM are very close, making the logistics of cooking very easy. I loved meeting people from all over the world. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

I had an amazing time staying at Cafecito’s Surf House! The atmosphere was so welcoming, making it a perfect place to meet other travelers. The location was a 10/10. Just a short walk to the beach and plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience. I can’t wait to come back! I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a friendly and comfortable place to stay.

First of all, this is the most comfortable hostel i have ever stayed and i am sure this will f*ck up my travels because I will never find a hostel this good. Most important for me was my bed; it was comfy (140x200cm/queensize) had a LOT of privacy and because this hostel is not a party hostel i could sleep in peace. Second the vibe is very laid back, i feel if you're here for a couple of days you could easily keep people. Everything is cleaned once per day and reasonably clean, i feel like the bathroom (shower) could use a deep cleaning. Because i liked it so so much, i extended my stay and was here for over a month. For me it feels like home, would definitely come back and recommend 10/10! Pura vida and thanks to Uki, Tule and their team <3
