This city centre guesthouse is just 7 minutes’ walk from Kupitta Train Station and Turku University. Guests can enjoy free sauna access and free Wi-Fi internet connection.

The bright rooms at Tapulitalo have cable TV, bathrobes and shared bathroom facilities. A communal kitchen is also available for guests’ use.

It was almost like coming home. Pleasantly arranged room, plenty of space. Common places were wide, comfy and clean. The small attentions all around the house were great additions. The sauna was great and the provided robes were a nice plus.. On top of that, the choice of 2 pillows? It is like a high end Hostel.

Docked in the Aurajoki River in Turku, this boat hostel offers cabins with private bathrooms and free sauna access in the morning. Parking is free next to the boat when using a parking disk. Turku Castle is 500 metres away.

First of all, if you never had a cruise - this could be a nice first experience as you get your own cabin in the ship! The room is superb small, like really really small, but for me alone it was fine and vibrant. I really liked it. Also, you get a free access to the morning sauna! The price is very good and you get a breakfast included. Awesome place!

Hostels. What are they?

Way more than just a cheap place to sleep, hostels are a social way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens or games rooms are great ways to swap tips, tricks and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long, long way since the first youth hostel opened in 1912. From budget 'crash-pads' to five-star 'poshtels', today, hostels are for everybody, so whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll find most hostels are cheaper than a local hotel and far more fun.
