Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Hostels that guests love in Dover
  • A very nice, cosy little hostel. The dorm room I stayed in was clean, the communal area in the pub was charming, the showers were hot and the breakfast was plentiful.

  • It looks like it needs some TLC even for a backpackers place. It looks like there was some maintenance undergoing so that seems food for them.

  • Not the type of place that shouts "Romantic setting"....but then again it is a "hostel". Good value for money for what it is. (2* accomodation)

  • Staff were lovely. Great location for the beach and transport. Amazing that they offer free drinks, toast and cereal. Cosy room with a plug socket near the bed and an awesome terrace upstairs. The front of the hostel being a quaint little tavern is a really nice touch, it is very homely with a wood burning fire, instruments and a projector to watch things on. Will definitely stay here again when I'm next in Dover.

  • Normal standard for backpackers hostel. Rooms are clean and quiet. Location near Ferry Port right under Dover's cliffs. Typical hostels breakfast -> cereals + milk, toasts+jam;
