This place deserves more hype!! The design has a modern-Javanese touch, and the room had everything — desk, power sockets, fast AC, hot water. Also appreciated the pre-arrival WhatsApp message with tips and info — it made check-in late at night easy. Booked the Ijen tour and met great people along the way.

The staff are very friendly, they not only helped me find an Ijen tour but even helped me with my trip to Bromo. The property is very well decorated with a lot of plants. Kitchen is spacious. I got a room with private bathroom for good price.

Very calm and cozy little hostel, the host was very kind and accommodating, when he knew I was going to mount Ijen he asked me if I needed a pickup and if I needed to be woken up at pickup’s time.

Besides being a very comfortable accommodation the staff at Ijen Haus were extremely friendly and helpful. They arranged at the last moment for me to join a group to visit the Ijen Crater. When an online train ticket vendor would not accept my payment method they offered to purchase the ticket for me and I reimbursed them!

Loved the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms. Each bed has space next to it and an assigned locker. The staff are so friendly, they recommended lots of places to eat and booked us onto a Mount Ijen tour. There is a nice kitchen space with tea and coffee. We loved this stay and would defo stay again.
