This place surprised us! Big comfy bed, AC worked perfectly, and the room felt super fresh and quiet. Iwan helped us plan the Ijen hike — even gave us ginger tea when we returned. So wholesome.

Very calm and cozy little hostel, the host was very kind and accommodating, when he knew I was going to mount Ijen he asked me if I needed a pickup and if I needed to be woken up at pickup’s time.

The best thing about this honesty is the family that runs it. Ali, Amel, Weldon and Aska are the most welcoming family I’ve ever met. Ali showed me around and took me around the many natural wonders in the area. I also went fishing for a day with real fishermen people and caught many fish. I was introduced to local people (even the mayor) who were also kind and generous. I ate all my meals with the family and Amals incredible fresh cooking. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a wonderful time and recommend this stay to anyone looking for an original beautiful experience.

The organisation of trip, staff and our room was great. The Ijen tour was great as well. We really recommend the place to stay if you want to do the Ijen. After that you can do the laundry or just go further to next location. There are a lot of connections and you can get private car if needed
