  • The 10 Best Hostels in Salerno, Italy

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Hostels that guests love in Salerno
  • Location was very good, right between the central rail station and the old city centre. Abundance of cafes and pizzerias right next to the hostel. Everything felt very close and comfortable.

  • The hostel was very clean, the host was incredibly nice and helpful.

  • Good place for the night; large room and bathroom. Breakfast ok, but worth it for access to coffee. Interesting area in older part of the city. Probably about a mile walking to/from the port and main train station. Came in from Amalfi, wanting to visit Paestum. If heading to Naples or Pompeii, there's a closer train station to the hostel.

  • The general standard of everything, from cleanliness to comfort and the harty breakfast, put many hotels to shame. When my arival was delayed, Veronica the owner made a special offer to ocntact me and even offered to pick me up from the station. She likes to practise her English and does everything she can to make your stay pleasant and interesting. She doesn't favour one kind of guest over another: I got the feeling backpackers, families and pensioners were equally welcome.

  • excelent location. very helpful owner. clean hostel
