Overall the property was amazing. Very cozy. Very clean. It exceeded my expectations. The staff was also extremely lovely and gave us recommendations. Highly recommend the breakfast in their cafe it was the perfect way to start our day.

The owner is an absolute sweetheart. She runs the hostel by herself and does all the cleaning and hostel preparations for your arrival. She is fluent in English as well which is a big plus to foreign travelers. I contacted her that I was going to be checking in slightly late and she said it was alright. The first night I stayed in a bunk and the 2nd night was a private room. I slept very well both nights and the hostel has a very home-y feeling to it. The location is also excellent being <10minute walk from Gekkouji station. Owner recommended me to visit Arakurayama park to get a view of Mt fuji and it was worth it. I went at sunrise with other travelers. It is about 15 minute walk to the location.

Great location and cost for my climb of Mount Fuji. Getting to the hotel was easy with a bus ride and hop off at the shrine. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with the process. The bed in the coed dorm was comfortable and quiet. I was able to get up early the next morning and head to the main bus station to get to the station five bus and trailhead. After the climb, the staff is welcoming again and later helped me get the bus back to Yokohama. This was an ideal situation for climbing, Mount Fuji, and getting back. I highly recommend a stay.

I only spent two nights, I wanted to stay longer, but the guesthouse was already full on the dates I wanted. It was an invigorating experience, what a nice, cozy place. I had the breakfast they make, it delicious, if you like japanese food I recommend it. Everyone is very friendly, especially Imuzo and his brother (unfortunately I didn't ask his name). Yudai, Daichi and Yuka are very friendly and helpful, always ready to help and offer the best experience for guests. I will recommend it to all my friends who come to visit Mount Fuji one day. Thank you for the excellent stay.
