Top 5 hostel on my 2 years travel and hostel experience.  Stayed in both family room and 4 bed female dorm. Very nice setting as the owner works in over 15 hostels in different countries. He understands how to run a good hostel and know what the traveler need. How to be a social and family feel hostel.   He reserve a lot of space a common area , kitchen , lobby in ground floor. Rooftop rest for breakfast and upper rooftop to social. Each floor have little common area next to the stair. Make chances to chit chat with traveler. Some traveler even treat this as real home and stay for months. They will share you the local tips. Where to go, what activities to do it together. During my stay, we have cooking class ( taught by a hostel gursty) and cook and sharing almost everyday. We went out for scooter play in the evening as well.  And celebrate one of the guest's coffee shop opening.  The staff are helpful and super nice. And the cleaning staff clean the hostel very good and attention to details. If anything wrong, similar advise the host in the group, he will fix it ASAP.   If you arrived late after 11pm, they can arrange private pick up and the driver will bring you to the hostel. No need to worry can't find it at night. The location is easy to find in day. They will provide you a video.  I missed my stay in Socco hostel.

Liked this place in Medina so much. Despite the fact, that some guests was a bit noisy (so my recommendation to provide a rule for hostel about quiet hours). The owner very supportive answers in all your question and helps in different situations. Did I mentioned a terrase? It maybe the best what I've had in Morocco. No bunk beds, towel, good price, what more could I expect. Thanks!

Everything was very clean, bathrooms, rooms, common spaces. The host, Mohamed, was extraordinarily helpful when something came up: laundry, extension cords, adapters, ... The room was perfect, very well equipped and the terrace has an awesome view.

The Penthouse Hostel is located in Tangier, within 1.5 miles of American Legation Museum and 2.1 miles of Dar el Makhzen.

The price is a great deal and the beds are clean and comfortable. There were a lot of bathrooms, the hot water works fine and it was nice and cool at least this time of year. It did have a social vibe, meeting people a little. The guy who seemed to be in charge makes an effort to help with anything you need, including asking when I would like breakfast (included in the stay I booked). I think he left some bread, butter and jam for me on the terrace, the top floor. The WiFi works fine. Ultimately, if you want to save some money this place will be okay for you, but if you want a better place you have to pay at least twice as much.
