Lovely clean rooms, in a great location in the centre of George Town. Very clean and the host provides free hot/cold water, tea, coffee and even bread in the morning which is a nice touch. Shared bathrooms but plenty of them and kept really clean also.

Sogor Female Dormitory is honestly one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at! I feel so lucky to have had the chance to stay here for 3 nights—it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Even though I came as a solo backpacker, I never felt alone. I ended up meeting two amazing foreigners during my stay, and we connected instantly. The environment is clean, hygienic, and very well maintained. The washrooms are spotless, the laundry area is convenient, and the public space is super comfortable—perfect for relaxing or chatting with other travelers. This hostel gave me not only a safe and comfy place to stay, but also meaningful memories and new friendships. I highly recommend it to any solo female traveler out there. I’d easily rate it 10/10!

Clean, tidy, comfortable, quiet, modern with all necessary facilities. Dorms have no windows but it did not bother me as they are spacious enough. AC works perfectly. Communication with the staff was smooth and helpful.

The location was very convenient as it is close to a lot of local eateries and bus stops that goes places. It is also close to a lot of the main attractions in george town. The room that I had was spacious and what I expected it to be. Bed was comfortable. The showers and toilets are plentiful in numbers albeit a little bit cramped in my opinion. PS: this place is self check in. They do have someone on site and they do send out a text message on whats app about the password for the main door and the room door. Just make sure you get the text message from them prior to your visit here. Communication is prompt and concise.

Beautiful place, nice private room with bathroom. In a nice busy area maim road with lots of restaurants coffee shops, great fantastic staff and helpful owner. Very clean modern, one of the many aayu properties in Georgetown, highly recommend it. A must stay in Penang Georgetown. Good value for the money.
