Hostal Doña Irma Bocas

Bocas Town

Hostal Doña Irma Bocas is located in Bocas Town, 22 km from Buena Vista and 8 km from Isla Colón.

The rooms come with a shared bathroom. Hostal Doña Irma Bocas features free WiFi throughout the property. Definitely it's location: it's just a few blocks from Avenida Tercera, the main street where a lot of the restaurants, stores and other business are located. Yet its far enough away that it's quiet at night so you're not bothered by the noises of cars, blaring music from bars and people wondering around late into the night. The owner and family treated us warmly. The public areas and bathrooms are kept very clean. There is a place to hang clothes with a few hangers, a small table and a chair. The owner has a pit bull who growled at us on our first visit but seemed to mellow out on subsequent appearance at the front door downstairs where the owner and family live.

Hostels – what are they?

Hostels offer so much more than a cheap place to stay – they're also a fun way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens and game rooms give you the chance to swap tips, tricks, and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long way since the first youth hostel opened back in 1912. Nowadays there's something for everyone, from budget "crash pads" to 5-star "poshtels." Whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll see that most hostels are cheaper than local hotels – and a lot more fun, too!
