The views are absolutely beautiful and the swimming pool and jacuzzi area was lovely. My dorm room had a double bed in it that I managed to get, and it was so quiet and comfy. Perfect for travellers who want to relax and have peace. You can walk 35 mins to town or pay about five dollars for a taxi - it's not an issue at all! My transfer and tours stopped at the hostel anyway.

Both Carlos and Mavel were super nice, friendly and helpful. The place is a little out of town, though I actually liked it, since it's close to the start of several hikes, such as the El Pianista.

Beautiful area. saw a rainbow each day. I rented a car, so the slight distance outside of town was no issue at all, though there is public transportation. the room was spacious and clean. I enjoyed the peace of this area. There’s a hike that starts literally at the hostel. highly recommend!

The room was clean and cozy, shower was hot in a good way. Staff, specially Nathan was super nice. Extremely helpful and pacient, and so was the owner Nina. There's a small creek just right next to the house.

We had a really great experience at Spanish by the River! It's a sweet, relaxing environment. It was just far enough from town to be nice and quiet, but close enough to catch a quick taxi ride. All the best!

Beautiful place, Super clean pools, Owners are super nice, HONEST, and cook some of the best pizza in the area with super great prices! Everything a hostel should be! Resteraunt on site,great food!
