Loved my time at this hostel! Perfect location, close to everything, plus ATM machines nearby. The Wi-Fi was strong, and the staff, especially Ms. CJ and kuia shar, were super friendly and accommodating. Bonus: They also offer van transport to and from the airport, making travel so much easier! I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Ilakai Hostel is more than just a place to stay, it is a small community! When I booked my stay, I imagined that it was going to be simply a place to rest but to my surprise it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. Everyone in the staff (special mention for Jon, Kathia, and Lanie) has made the time at Ilakai extra memorable. The effort they put into making sure that everyone is included in the activities they plan, like karaoke night or family dinner, makes it easier to connect with other guests. Everyone end up becoming a little family and it makes your trip a bit more special. Jon also organizes the famous Siargao Loop, recommended by everyone that goes on it, which also allows you to meet new people not only from Ilakai and explore the north of the island. Facilities are great as well, with a good equipped kitchen and gym. But the highlight of the hostel without a doubt is the big common hangout area where everyone ends up spending time just chilling, singing, and especially sharing many laughs. The welcoming, caring, and fun atmosphere that exists at Ilakai thanks to the staff makes you feel at home and I am forever grateful that I chose this place as my stay in Siargao. It's been a few weeks since I left I can't wait to come back.

The property is very beautiful. It is not too far from General Luna which is the busier side but not to near which gives you your own quiet space. The Dorm Villa we got was big and can accommodate 12 people. We never had problems with water pressure and their toilets. The staff was phenomenal! Paolo and the team really took good care of us and gave us lots of tips on where to go. The common area was a great place to relax and mingle with other people who are staying. Dahun Villas even have scooters to rent out which is useful when navigating Siargao. Overall, it was a really nice place to stay and we had a great time.

Rooms very nice, comfortable beds as well, nice feeling from blessie, shani, and reyna. Always taking care of everything and doing everything with a smile. Giving you the kitchen like its your own and making sure you will feel like youre at home immediately. Great place and location between general luna and secret beach. Highly recommended !

    The best hostel in Town ! This hostel have great activities at night. I was amazed by the peaceful and social mood. You can also choose to party, IF you want to do so. Staff and people are really friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay and I will return :)

    Best hostel I’ve. Ever stayed. At. The people and staff are like a massive family and you will definitely end up staying longer than you expected. This place is paradise! Family dinners are such a laugh and Francis is a fantastic cook. Ask for his mango float and you won’t be disappointed!

    Best hostel at this price point in my opinion, ideal for backpackers. There is all you need in one place like a cafe, motorbike rental, surf instructors, a weekly family dinner and party, and more. The pool is great and there are a lot of plants in the common area making a great vibe, it's like a mini jungle. I miss staying there and all of the staff who I feel became friends and I met so many nice travelers from around the world as well.

    Perfect hostel for meeting people. They have activities everyday, you can book your tours directly with them and they have a restaurant that serves good food (not exactly cheap, but fair prices). Rooms are good and beds were comfortable. Cold showers were better than the hot showers, these last ones didn't have strong water.

    It's budget-friendly hostel for backpacker travellers. Staffs are very approachable specially the owner of the place. The location itself is accessible to all you need (food, souvenirs shops, party places etc.) since its around General Luna. Their common shower rooms has also hot showers. They also offer other activities and services where you can spend most time in siargao (Land Tours, Island hopping, motorbike rental). We will definitely go back to this place the next time we'll go again to Siargao
