A beautiful hostel that allows you to enjoy the tranquility of nature! Great service and an ideal location to enjoy all that Arusha has to offer. Multiple tour offerings that allow you to enjoy the area. The local diner is delicious and healthy, we never have tasted food before like this, Anthony and his sisters are amazing and they're there to help you for anything, we really recommend this place

We stayed at Mambo Arusha hostel for two nights before starting our Mount Kilimanjaro trek. The hostel had everything we could need! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast both mornings and loved the dinner that was made fresh for us as well. Our host helped us organize a taxi to Arusha and answered all our questions with ease. The yard and terrace were very pleasant to hangout in and were put to good use when we were laying out our gear the day before the climb.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of wonderful. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful with every detail — from logistics like transportation to local tips. When we mentioned that our room felt a bit too cold, they handled it right away and helped us switch rooms without any hassle. Their willingness to go the extra mile made us feel so well cared for. The food was absolutely delicious, and every meal felt like a special experience. Most of all, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming — it truly felt like a home away from home. We’re so grateful for the experience and would happily return!

Amazing people! Very clean and comfortable rooms! Each room has a mini fridge, wow! We could have cold water everywhere (wow again!) and did a little grocery, very practical! We had 2 rooms (family of 4) and one room even had a gas stove. We cooked a few meals at home and it made us save money. Each room also has a ceiling fan, which made the room nice and cold. The breakfast cooked by the girls were always good and big (extra fees). The villa is in a calm area. It was very nice to walk around and it was nice to see the kids going or finishing school. They are all so sweet and kind. There is also a little market down the streets. For sure, to go downtown or anywhere, you need to call a taxi, but there were so many positive aspects that it was worth it. Finally, the people owning and working at the villa are all amazing! It was sad to say goodbye to them! If you want to spend a few relax and easy days in Arusha, I recommend you Home Villa ❤️

    Wow, what a find! Tucked away in a lush banana plantation near Arusha, this eco-hostel stole my heart. My cozy barn cabin felt like a treehouse dream, complete with a porch swing and stunning Mount Meru views. But the real showstopper? The incredibly cheap eats and drinks! I feasted on delicious organic meals straight from the farm without breaking the bank. If you're after an authentic Tanzanian experience that's easy on the wallet, Banana Farm Eco Hostel is a must-visit. Trust me, your taste buds and your budget will thank you!

    This property is fantastic for backpackers, budget travellers, woofers and those looking for an environmental stay. The banana and coffee plantation surround the rooms giving wonderful views. Rooms are basic and clean, with eco-generated hot water and electricity. The tour around the property was reasonably interesting. For the price you pay, you can't go wrong.

    The staff is realy kind and helpfull. The rooms are fine. You pay a good (cheap) price to stay here and a nice breakfast is included. Dinner is possible, they serve delicious food. We had a lovely stay. I would definetly recommend this hostel, especially for students.

    Arusha has many youth hostels, but a lot of them are in inconvenient and difficult-to-find locations. It's not entirely safe to walk around Arusha after dark, so that can be a problem. Green Garden is in a fantastically central location, but still on a quiet, green side street where you don't hear the city's loud traffic at all. And the grounds of the hostel are really beautiful.
