The Rosemary is a turn of the century modernist fever dream. A brothel? A speak-easy? A 1920’s French gentleman’s club? It’s colourful and warm yet the portraits and sculptures have eyes that seem to watch. This is a good thing! The decor is truly an artistic curation that transports you to another time. I loved that the entry was self checkin but that there was a number to text for communication. All the amenities worked and the space was clean and well thought out. All the fixtures, hardware and architectural detail are very high end and well constructed. Someone took a lot of time to focus on form but obviously felt function was equally important. I parked on the side street a block away with no incident. I would definitely go back as it’s a smart, cheap way to stay in LA but it’s also an interesting experience. Loved every bit of it.

The host, very nice lady. The location and is very quiet. Nice place to relax. I liked the flow of fresh air in the rooms, I am big on ventilations and this was very good. No stuffy rooms, all so very well ventilated.

When I booked the appointment, my bank was being dumb the owner allowed me to pay cash, which was very convenient and helpful at the . They accommodated my needs.. And the price was really reasonable period the facility was clean as well. Customer service very helpful.

The staff and owner were so incredible , they did everything they could to make me feel at home and make sure that I had everything I needed. I can say for certain that this is the one of the best hostels I have stayed at in California for sure , america and possibly the world. It has an at home cozy feeling , it's clean , comfortable, and close to many LA attractions and fun.

    I lived in the 4 bed female dormitory, it was comfortable and big. Good for cheap stay in a prime location. Also, they let me store my luggage for free which was great.

    This is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed. It's so clean, friendly and cosy and you can tell the staff take great pride in it. If you're looking for a quiet place in a great location look no further. I'd like to thank Pedro, Bea and all the staff who made my stay so memorable. Everyone was so friendly, cheerful and always willing to help. They made my stay so enjoyable and I can't thank them enough. Already looking forward to my next stay! :-)

    Amazing hostel in great location with beach in walking distance and also in a great cheap eat and drink out location with nice bars and restaurants and liquor stores everyone you need to make your stay enjoyable and saving money And great jacuzzi on rooftop with nice sunset

    Great location, spacious room and big lockers, spacious bathroom and pretty clean, good breakfast, nice common areas, a lot of activities (I didn't participate but it is a nice option especially when travelling solo). They even provided towels (which is not often the case in hostels). With the reception and the key cards it also felt very safe!

    Great to find Hummingbirds just up the road. Friendly helpful staff in great location. Lots to do and after catching a number 1 bus up to the Metro you can get anywhere real quick and travel all day with a 5dollar capped Tap bus and train card, magic....Belles bar just opposite Samesun hostel is nice safe bar...
