Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Hotels That Guests Love in New York City
  • You are kidding right this is a youth hostel.

  • Clean, convenient location. Pricey for the youth hostel, but after all it's right in the heart of Manhattan. : )

  • It was straightforward, not paying for luxuries I don't need. I wanted a bed to sleep in for a week and thats what I got, for cheap. Pretty close to public transport. The doors lock (better than some cheap hostels). The desk is staffed 24/7 by friendly people. The bathrooms are cleaned very regularly. And they provide the earplugs. And a towel. And I saw one weird insect but no bedbugs, the beds being clean and not uncomfortable. Value for money if you're happy with backpacker accommodation. (I was happy with this)

  • Jose was very friendly, he helped whenever he was called upon. checking in and checking out was very smooth. Overall it was a good experience. Easy to locate. Suggest taking the super shuttle from JFK which gets you to the hostel me you'd meet alot of other backpackers from every corner of the world at the hostel

  • Clean, quiet, tiny. More like a youth hostel than hotel. No elevator, lots of steps. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fine for what it is.
