Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Hotels That Guests Love in New York City
  • You are kidding right this is a youth hostel.

  • Clean, convenient location. Pricey for the youth hostel, but after all it's right in the heart of Manhattan. : )

  • It was straightforward, not paying for luxuries I don't need. I wanted a bed to sleep in for a week and thats what I got, for cheap. Pretty close to public transport. The doors lock (better than some cheap hostels). The desk is staffed 24/7 by friendly people. The bathrooms are cleaned very regularly. And they provide the earplugs. And a towel. And I saw one weird insect but no bedbugs, the beds being clean and not uncomfortable. Value for money if you're happy with backpacker accommodation. (I was happy with this)

  • Jose was very friendly, he helped whenever he was called upon. checking in and checking out was very smooth. Overall it was a good experience. Easy to locate. Suggest taking the super shuttle from JFK which gets you to the hostel hassle-free...trust me you'd meet alot of other backpackers from every corner of the world at the hostel

  • Clean, quiet, tiny. More like a youth hostel than hotel. No elevator, lots of steps. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fine for what it is.
