I loved how big the kitchen , room & common rooms were. It’s cleaner than some of the reviews I had read before booking . I decided to just take a chance and book anyway bc standards are different . I’m so happy I did. The walls are colorfully painted . The all women’s room private bathroom was much bigger than the hostel I previously stayed in and cozy . They provided a space heater bc it gets cold . Its right on Venice Beach. It’s within walking distance to the Bus stop and Uber can pick up right outside the door on the corner !! Staff is amazing !

Everything was great! The hostel is located in a beautiful quiet area of ​​Los Angeles, not far from Downtown. But I still recommend renting a car, since the distances in LA are huge between the main attractions. The hostel also has excellent internal parking for your car and this is another huge plus! During my stay, I met wonderful people, it was very interesting to listen to their life stories and why they ended up in LA at a certain moment. My special respect and gratitude to the hostel owner Victor and his brother for their hospitality, good mood and wonderful evening conversations in the lobby with delicious coffee. The bed was super comfy and CJ was very helpful! I booked their ride option that you pay on site and it was $25 less than Lyft which was nice. Lots of food vendors on the same street and a grocery store across the street so food was easy. Felt safe and overall great quality for the price. I come to LA a lot for events and work so will definitely stay here again, especially since it's pretty much walking distance to the forum and hollywood park and the airport. Also when it's summer will definitely be hitting the beach since it's so close. Love it!

I love this place! I've stayed in many hostels in Europe, south and north America, and this is one of the top in my list! It's very clean, Pedro was super nice and proactive, the bed are clean. Upon check in Pedro gave me a towel and the bed sheets, all super clean! Shower was amazing! And shower and toilet rooms were super clean. Although it is located right near the Hollywood Blvd, the hostel's location is very quiet at night. It's also safe (I traveled alone, arrived at night), and near everything.

Banana Bungalow’s location is fantastic! Right in the heart of Hollywood and steps away from all the hotspots. You can see the HOLLYWOOD sign right from the courtyard.
