We stayed over the weekend, so it was a little noisy outside at night, but it didn’t bother us much.

The house of Murillo, founder of the city, is only 100 metres away and the famous witches-walk is a 5-minute walk from the property. El Alto International Airport is a 30-minute drive away and the bus station is a 7-minute walk from the Hostal. 61-yr-old female solo traveler here, the hostel was perfectly lovely. You can't beat the location, gorgeous old former home on a cobblestone street, and staff were welcoming and accommodating. Excellent breakfast in the downstairs café. I traveled off-season so the nights were chilly, but plenty of blankets on the bed of my private room. Be prepared for a lot of steps, hostal is up one floor, like many remodels each room required a step or two up or down -- I use a cane and did just fine. Two thumbs up!

Purchased a day trip to Tiwanaku and can recommend it.
