Hostal Secreto features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and private beach area in Isla Grande. 2.2 km from Playa Libre, the hostel offers a terrace and a bar. The accommodation provides karaoke and free WiFi. The host and waitresses were super friendly. The food and drinks were delicious and the evening Programme very entertaining. The Hotel complex was super nice and felt like home. We had a really good time!!

Coveñas is 38 km from Mistica Island Hostel - Isla Palma, while Barú is 46 km from the property. Cartagena's airport 73 km away. The place is just amazing, it's the definition of tropical paradise. Lazing in the hammocks all day with a Coco Loco was the definition of chill. The real plus of this place was the wildlife, the monkeys, birds, iguanas and pigs that are constantly around give the place a really wild feel even if they are rescued animals. Reading previous reviews about staff being rude, we initially felt the same and undoubtedly some of the staff were a bit moody to begin with but after a day they opened up a bit and were super friendly, knowing a little Spanish and returning your cups to the bar went a long way. We also expected the worst from the food reading previous reviews but actually found it not only to be reasonably priced but really good. I think other reviewers may be long term travellers/backpackers and not used to having to pay $10 twice a day for a meal, but if you're on vacation for 2-3 weeks it felt very reasonable. Our room was great, we stayed in the treehouse and although it was very basic the whole aesthetic added to the tropical island vibe. Would 100% recommend this place.

All guest rooms at the hostel come with a seating area. Rooms are complete with a shared bathroom fitted with a shower, while some units at DespertArte espacio de Arte y Hospedaje also feature a balcony. The rooms will provide guests with a minibar. Super sweet place, it feels very private & is located at a more calm part of the beach what we liked. Warm welcoming by the hosts, they offer some tours & the food is delicious!

You can play darts at the hostel. It was a memorable experience. Every day was different… different colors in the sky, different dishes, different people to meet, different animals crossing your path: Toucans, Bengales, Iguanas, monkeys and dolphins… Some things never changed though: the quality of the food, the sound of the waves in the morning, the warmth of free coffee throughout the day, the staff's generosity, and their attention to detail. It is everything I travel an hour and a half to see in Australia AND MORE: stunning sunsets, great music, and the option to dance/play games/have good conversations, or just be alone with a book in one hand, a cocktail in the other, and your feet in the water. A true connection to both nature and community. There’s always something to do: snorkelling, kayaking, volleyball… you can go see the planktons at night and visit neighbouring islands, including one of the oldest, where you get to witness a warm community that lives in a truly inspiring way. You can also swim with sharks there and then head home to relax over a full body massage!! IF THAT WASN’T ENOUGH, there were also yoga and dance classes while I was there. After two months of traveling through big cities, it was a real breath of fresh air… I had the TIME (and a solid connection) to call my family and make them a lil bit jealous. On top of that, I finally had time to meditate and dive into some creative projects. I couldn’t think of a better way to disconnect from reality than at Santa Lova. It’s a little corner of paradise and I've never experienced anything like it! I feel so much more grounded within myself… Cherry on top: Before catching the boat back to Cartagena, I picked up a beautiful handmade bracelet as a little souvenir. I can’t wait to go back there and share the experience with my friends and family!!!

Playa Blanca is a few steps from the hostel. Rafael Núñez International Airport is 38 km away. if we consider that it is glamping, the rooms are big, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is large. the view from the balcony is beautiful, and the hotel is on the most beautiful part of Bianca beach. The staff is very friendly, and everything is very clean.

Featuring a garden, restaurant and views of garden, Ecohotel Arte y Aventura is located in Isla Grande, 500 metres from Playa Libre. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a water park. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar.

The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at the hostel. We had a fantastic time at Arte y Aventura. Carlos is a fantastic host, and he taught us about his work in conserving the mangroves around the island. It was super easy to book activites with him and there are quite a few options ie. Snorkelling, kayaking, bioluminescent plankton and others. He cooks lovely dinners and breakfasts also. The location is only a short walk to a lovely beach where you can watch beautful sunrise/sunset. Would definitely recommend to stay here for a peaceful and welcoming stay on Isla Grande.
