Posada Casa Salento is 100% excellent in terms of 1) Staff - the host, John, Angela who checked us in, 3 staff at breakfast room and our room's cleaning lady - everyone did their best to help and make our 3 nights stay very enjoyable & comfortable! 2) Location - it is an easy walk to the bus station and also to Salento main square. A few steps away from a Laundry shop, a snacks & drinks shop two doors away and numerous restaurants close by. 3) Breakfast is very delicious & hearty. There were 8 choices so we could pick a different make-to-order breakfast during our 3 days stay. Fresh juice, well toasted bread & arepa and great coffee were included too. 4) Free drinking water & free brewed coffee provided 24-h, these were located at the corridor on every floor of the inn. 5) Ponchos , umbrella and best of all, waterproof paddington boots could be loan out for hiking at Cocora valley. We used the boots and these made our hike so much more easy and fuss-free. You can see the highest level of dedication in John, the host, at Casa Salento. Every detail has been taken care of, Casa Salento offers excellent hospitality and is one of the best accommodation that we have ever stayed with in over 80 countries.

We could not of had a nicer stay in Salento here. Valentina and the family were beyond helpful and made our stay better. On arrival Valentina gave us a list of activities that can be done in the area, advice on bus times and any other general help we needed. Place was spotless, located at the square in Salento and great value for money.

In one word- wow One of the most unique, beautiful and calm places you will find in South America, no less. The owner and staff are mostly French, so it’s somewhat different than Colombian places, but in a good way 😁 The food is pretty good, not gourmet but satisfying and you can see that they try hard to make everyone feel welcome and satisfied. Dimitry, the owner, is funny and cute. I wish we could stay longer because this place empties your worrying mind and fills your heart with happiness.

We ended up being the only two people there (in fairness, it was mid-week in the off-season), but Gloria was SUPER responsive over WhatsApp and really helpful with arranging a coffee tour and getting us around. She even lent us some umbrellas when we got caught in a huge downpour! Loved the hospitality.

It feels like visiting family friends. The location is also super nice; Salento is very small so everything is close by. Everyone has their own bathroom; I don’t mind sharing a bathroom but it is always nice to have your own space. The bread and fruits in the morning are super lovely. The owners also helped us super nicely with planning stuff and giving tips.

Jesus is very welcoming host and has a lot of good suggestions about what to do in and around Salento. The rooms are being cleaned every day and you can use the kitchen if you want.
