Not to far from town. Nomad is a place to rest surrounded by nature and with exceptionally good food. The host, FLO, is the best. He would recommend nice hikes and trips nearby.

This hostel surprised us! We are used to many different hostels, and this one was one of the best we have stayed in. There were many different types of common areas and gardens, even though its in the middle of town. A great shared kitchen, and comfortable rooms and hot showers. You could choose to be social or not. The staff was extremely kind - shout out Louis! The location was great for exploring San Gil, and for close walking distance to grocery stores, the local bus terminal that takes you to Barichara, etc. And surprisingly, the breakfast (which does cost extra) looks and tastes as good as it looks in the photos (which is unusual haha).

Casona Don Juan Hostel features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in San Gil. Providing a bar, the property is located within 42 km of Chicamocha National Park. No complaints after my week spent there. Wifi was reliable and strong. Hostel was kept very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The dog was so sweet. Very good prices on the laundry service, snacks, drinks and restaurant food. They offered a Christmas Eve meal that was classy and delicious. Chill out area in the back and lots of information for those who wish to do activities around town and in the region.

Situated in San Gil, Macondo Hostel has a garden, shared lounge, BBQ facilities, and free WiFi throughout the property. Very helpful staff, the owner gives you a great overview of all possible activities and organizes any sign up with activity providers, and if needed follows up with them. We did rafting (definitely recommend the long tour with teenagers! Was a great experience) and paragliding (very experienced pilots) The hostel also organized a free evening of Tejo - a local game night out … try it !!! Free clean water as additional benefit! Outside areas at hostel is great to relax, eat or chat with others. Area around the hostel worth exploring as well

I had a great time with my friends, We loved the peaceful and lovely vibe of the hostel with charming terraces for a nice coffee in the morning. Great location and Javi the owner was rly kind. We definitely be back

Situated in Barichara, Hostel Trip Monkey Barichara has a shared lounge. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi throughout the property. Everything. It’s a small family run business. The host is nice and their little girl is exceptionally cute. Easy and relaxing hostel. Although the dorm room is a bit small, i don’t have any issue at all since the common area is large for hanging around.
