The owner is very friendly, thoughtful, and caring. In my case he even went out of his way (since I had two large suitecases, a backpack, and a couple shopping bags from in between moves locally) to store my stuff and bump me up to an open double bed with two lockers. The two lockers also helped me store my quiet juicer so I could juice quietly in the kithen while others were asleep in the next room. The volunteers and guests all seemed happy with the accomodations, and everyone got along well, partly due to the environment created by our host. Thank you so much, Sander.

Guests at the hostel will be able to enjoy activities in and around Dos Brazos, like hiking. I came as a guest and decided to stay as a volunteer. I sincerely enjoyed my time soaking in the nature and wildlife. There is so much hiking you can do, I recommend staying at least a few nights to enjoy it thoroughly. A special thanks to Ron the owner for his kindness and the other volunteers and guests for a beautiful experience. I look forward to coming again!

You’ll have access to a shared kitchen, chillout spaces, and opportunities to meet travelers from around the world. This hostel looked like a luxury hotel! Everything was so nice: from the pool to the kitchen. Also the staff is very nice and all the people staying here too, which brings an amazing vibe! I would definitely recommend it to someone else too!

Complete with a shared bathroom, the rooms at The Cafecito Surfhouse - Santa Teresa are fitted with air conditioning, and certain rooms are fitted with a seating area. All units will provide guests with a fridge. Very cozy hostel with very nice owners who will leave you as friends. Everything is very clean and well thought out. The hostel is quiet and offers surfing lessons. It was just perfect and I would stay there again anytime.

At the hostel, all rooms are equipped with a terrace. At Surf Shack Room #1 each room is fitted with air conditioning and a private bathroom. The location was fairly quiet as there wasn't much road traffic going by. There was AC and the shower had hot water, which my wife loved. The kitchen was an ample size and had everything we needed; even Tupperware to keep our extra food so we didn't leave it in the pans. The rooms didn't feel cramped and had shelf space to put our things. The beds we're comfy and the towels were soft. The covered common area outside the kitchen was a great place to eat and for my wife to work. We would stay here again.

Perfect stay! Great location in the middle of nature. Nothing fancy, just connection to Costa Rica beautiful nature ! Comfy beds, everything you need, waking up with birds in the middle of the garden. Heyner’s family is so nice, his wife is cooking a great breakfast and dinner. They booked the mangrove trip which was amazing and we had horseback riding with Heyner. It was a great experience . We will definitely come back!!

Monteverde Ecological Sanctuary is an 8-minute walk from Hostel Cattleya - Monteverde, Costa. The nearest airport is Tambor Airport, 67 km from the property. The boss is very nice. The location is excellent. The facilities are complete. There is still a lot of room for improvement.
