Hostal Tena Ñaui features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Tena. This 3-star hostel offers room service and an ATM. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi throughout the property. The hostel itself was nice, lovely jungle location with great views and close to city. Very good value for price. However, the star of our stay was Fastou the guide who took us for a night, one could only describe as utterly fantastically surreal, in the Amazon. From the moment he arrived he wxplained in full the different tours and although clearly already having a tight schedule adapted a tour to suit our wants perfectly. We asked little questions trusting his 25+ years experienve and boy oh boy we had an unforgettable few days. He shared his knowledge on plant medicine and culture and wildlife and we learnt so much, shared so many laughs, mer some wonderful people and became reinas de La selva. Words can’t describe how great an experience this was and how safe as two females in young 20s felt. As a side note he cooks amazing vegan local food!! Just can’t praise him highly enough

Owners and family staying in the hostel were very friendly and welcoming. Tours we went on with Antonio were amazing, very informative.
A proper backpackers hostel, with a short walk downhill into town. Very nice breakfast and a comfortable room.
Big apartment with 2/3 rooms and wide windows. You have a kitchen and toilet with hot water. Miguel is a great host, very responsive and give you local tips and help if needed. Internet works seamless, great for work and support meetings. The area is safe and takes 15 min walk or 1.25$ taxi ride to the center. Water available. Very good illumination due to massive windows. Fans on rooms and living room. Bus stops nearby to go to laguna Azul.
Cheap, clean, use of washing machine and dryer, taxis right on the corner.
Great location
I liked being out of town by about a 20 minute walk, not much traffic but it is hilly. The Hostal is a pleasant place, hammocks for reclining, though they did bring me a comfortable chair. The kitchen is the usual with hostels, not many decent knives or cookware, but a fridge and a gas stove are provided. There was only one other couple sharing the kitchen. They connected me to an agency for a 2 night jungle retreat.
Great location, simple but comfortable facilities, exceptionally friendly staff!
Great location. El Coca is a pretty unsafe town but this Hostal is close to the pier and the boulevard which are considered the safest parts of town and I also needed to leave from the pier the next day. Breakfast is included which I didn't expect so that was nice.
