He's always flexible, offering to welcome us at the ferry and preparing breakfast early in the morning for Abu Simbel trip. We felt privileged to be welcomed by him. The rooms have everything you need, and decoration is a nice change to the often more basic decorations we have seen in hotels and guesthouses in Egypt. Location on Elefantine island is great, just a 5mn walk from the ferry, then ferry to cross is 2mn and 10 Egyptian pounds only. I can only recommend!

The staff was very friendly, kind, helpful and paid attention in details. That was very impressive. The room was so nice, clean, comfortable, and the food was so delicious. The location is in Nubian village which is surrounded by colorful painting houses next to the Nile river. It is very pretty. Highly recommended!

Biba, the friendly owner, went out of her way to make my trip to Aswan enjoyable. The photos and description of the place match with reality. There’s a sweet lady who cleans the entire place every day. To my delight, the windows are cleaned both inside and outside so guests can enjoy the view of the Nile. Thanks to Pajama Hostel, my first impression of Egypt has been good so far. This is a women-owned business that I’m happy to support.

I had the most wonderful stay at the Bonita Guest House in Aswan. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this place is built with an incredible amount of heart, care, and dedication. Nia, the owner, is truly the soul of Bonita. She pours so much love into every detail, and her warmth makes you feel less like a guest and more like a welcomed friend. This is a chill, relaxed place—perfect if you’re looking for something authentic and comfortable rather than a fancy hotel. It has a laid-back charm that makes you feel right at home. Her crew is just as amazing—attentive, kind, and always ready to help with anything you need. You can see how hard they work to keep everything running smoothly, from the clean and cozy rooms to the thoughtful touches throughout the property. Every interaction felt genuine, and their effort to make my stay special didn’t go unnoticed. One of the highlights is the rooftop, which offers an absolutely stunning view of the Nile. Watching the sunset from up there is truly magical—peaceful, colorful, and unforgettable. If you’re coming to Aswan and want a warm, welcoming, down-to-earth place with real heart, Bonita Guest House is the perfect choice. I can’t recommend it enough.

Nubian Hights guesthouse se nachází v destinaci Shellal a nabízí pokoje s výhledem na hory. Jen 19 km odtud je Aga Khan Mausoleum. It’s a beautiful place, build by a retired mother that worked as a teacher and now wants to leave a bussiness for her two dauthers. You can see the love on the place and wanting to do stuff as good as possible. They have little semiapartments with shared half kitchens (not stove but fridge, a sink, glasses and plates), the room I stayed had a balcony with beautiful views to the nile river, had airconditioning but also a fan, so you can chose. The shower has a heater, and though it has an interesting design just in the middle of the toilet, it works and is very good. The owner incredibly nice, very nice person to talk with. Her dauther is the only one doing Bird watching tours in Aswan (even being featured on the Lonely planet).

The Nile river was right there so every day I got to go swimming. Getting around in Aswan was easy from the hostel, both walking and taking an uber. They made us breakfast and arranged transportation for our tours.
