But the main advantage of the hotel is its owner Omar. He is a very helpful, nice and tactful person. We arrived in Aswan at night and he kindly met us on his boat. He also helped us with booking a transfer to Abu Simbel at a good price and saw us off early in the morning to the minivan, giving us breakfast for the road. I recommend this place wholeheartedly and I think you will feel good here.

Both trips require us to get up early, they were so nice to pack up breakfast meals for us. We tried to have dinner and it was delicious, we enjoyed the meat tagine in particular, similar taste to moroccan tagine actually. Internet was working, not so strong but it’s expected so nothing to complain about. The corner room on our last night was weak, it was okay coz we just crash to sleep for our early morning trip. Overall, everything went well and practically just what we need to experience Nubian community. Thanks to everyone for their hospitality.

Super cozy and homely hostel with friendly owner Biba who's such a pleasure to meet in person and chat with! I stayed for 2 nights here, from 15 Nov to 16 Nov 2025. It has made my stay at Aswan very memorable, for all the wonderful people I met here. The common area is spacious, tidy and comfortable with a big sofa to rest, recharge and socialize (and a power socket to charge your electronic devices), the bathroom is good with hot water, and the room and bed are clean too. The place is newly refurbished and there is daily housekeeping so you will always find the common area, bathroom, kitchen and bedroom in good condition and cleanliness. I slept soundly on the nights I stayed here. Great location and beautiful view outside the window. It's right along the corniche, with KFC just opposite the road, the public ferry not far from it, and the train station 10-15 minutes walk away (if you plan to take a train from Aswan to Luxor). The whole vibe here at Pajama Hostel is chill and laid-back and you won't go wrong with it!

This beautiful guesthouse hosted by the most wonderful lady has an incredible view of the Nile. The facilities are clean and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and she was kind enough to make us a superb dinner too as we were too tired from our travels to go out. The lovely host is responsive and happy to organise cheap transport for you to go wherever you need in Aswan. It might seem out of the way but the location is perfect for all the sights. I would 100% return here to enjoy the beautiful view, the delicious home cooked food, and the company of the wonderful hostess.
