Had a great time with my mom and dog. Was very surprised that it was pet friendly and really appreciated it. The surrounding saunas, cabins and lakeside were wonderful. Hope to visit again next summer!

Well situated in the centre of Helsinki, Aikatalo Hostel Helsinki is set 300 metres from the Central Railway Station and 600 metres from Helsinki Cathedral. Helsinki Bus Station is less than 1 km from. Among the facilities at this small and peaceful family-owned hostel are a 24-hour front desk and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The hostel features family rooms. Heart of city center, immaculately clean! Don't be put off by the word "hostel", it's better than radison or hilton, we never regret the stay. Multiple shower rooms and toilet, never even queue a single time. Very helpful staff, secure as well, looked after our luggages even after we checked out.

The hostel is 1.8 km from Helsinki Cathedral, 1.9 km from Helsinki Olympic Stadium and 2 km from Finlandia Hall. Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is 15 km away. It's my first time in Finland. But I was worried because I thought my English was not sufficient. Despite this, the staff there is very helpful and sympathetic. They answered the questions carefully and made suggestions about what I could do in Finland.

Stayed for two separate days, both were super nice. It was exceptionally clean. Probably it's the Finnish way of handling things. Kitchen is nice and cozy, it doesn't smell bad with all the cooking. Showers and toilets are also clean and tidy, there wasn't any doubt about hygiene any time. Big plus.

Located on Helsinki’s Katajanokka island, surrounded by the sea, this hostel is a 5-minute tram ride from the city centre. Vyökatu Tram Stop is just around the corner. The Viking Line ferry terminal and Kauppatori Market Square are few minutes' walk away. Also other interesting sights are close by. Everything, great place really and super helpful and accomodating!
