Great location, very clean, comfy room with aircon, well priced, extremely friendly and helpful staff. You can buy food/snacks for a reasonable price and they have free coffee and tea as well as hot and cold filtered water. Has a nice little balcony where you can watch the rain. Not incredibly social, but it’s also off season so I can’t imagine there would be anywhere more social in the area to be honest. Was clear about the fact that the blue fire at Ijen would not be available the days we were there and the staff was not pushy at all about buying tours, just very helpful. Honestly one of the best price to experience ratios I’ve ever gotten at a hostel, and the perfect place to chill or prepare for a hike. Also one of the cutest cats I’ve ever seen if my life lives here, she is friendly and very funny.

As a clean freak, I felt completely comfortable when I stayed at Ninap Hostel. All facilities are in good shape, including complete kitchen utensils and a water dispenser. A big plus is that Kak Roni and Kak Endah are so hospitable and caring. Really had a wonderful time here.

The owners were very sweet and take good care of you (coffee in the morning, snacks, washing machine, a place to refill your water bottle, cold beers available, etc). It’s located on a very quiet small alley! Close to a touristy street with lots of restaurants and 10 min of car away from the Malioboro area!

Every room has air conditioning, and certain units at the hostel have a terrace. It's such a quiet place with a nice and calm vibe even though it's in the middle of the city. Because of that, it also has a close walking distance to just about anything. Furthermore the breakfast was delicious (in my oppinion). When you woke up, a staff would cook a thick pancake with banana and cut some fruits for you - very fulfilling and delicious! They also have some nice facilities like a big kitchen and a great outdoor shower.
