I found Kokos out of desperation, because I had stayed at another hsotel in terrible conditions, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Giti (I apologize if I spelled your name wrong) was one of the most helpful staffs I have ever met. She gave me valuable tips for my stay and trip through Indonesia. Thanks to his recommendation, I discovered Mentawai, what a wonderful place. The beds are comfortable, there is a shower with hot water, and the place is well organized and clean. The location is a plus, it is next to the Siti Nurbaya Bridge, which has a view of the canal and the sunset that will take your breath away. I recommend it.

He was very accommodating to my situation and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. The room was clean, spacious, and a great place to relax after a long day. At first, I wasn’t planning to do the trekking because it was a bit out of my budget, and we initially disagreed on the price. But despite that, he went as far as to let me set up my tent on his property for free to ensure my safety, which really showed his kindness and hospitality. One important thing to note—before booking, make sure you can afford the trekking with him. He’s very passionate about it, and there could be some misunderstandings if you stay without booking a trek. But overall, if you’re looking for a welcoming place with a great host and a solid trekking experience, this is a great choice!

We had the best time with the Wau family! Such amazing people and great hospitality - always had great chats with Frank and Titus. The location is as good as it gets with a view of the spot and a minute walk from the keyhole. Our room had everything we needed. We would come back for sure!

Amazing vibes and super chill environment. The owner and all of the staff are incredible and super fun people to hang with. You go to this place as a stranger but even after a couple days you become like family. I wish I could have stayed longer. 30 min drive to Saroke but no problem because it was easy to rent scooters from salty dog. Best place ever!!

Room is simple, bu It has all you need, bed is comfy, you can get free coffee/tea all day. I only stayed a night, but I wish to have stayed longer. You can see Telescopes breaking from far(but in front of the accommodation), to reach it is a short boat ride away. Had probably the best surf session of my life there :) Thanks and see you next time!

Super clean and the staff was friendly. The sheets smell good. i love everything especially the toilet. At night there was a street vendor in front of the hostel. Near to city center and train station. Very quite at night and it's good for me to rest. Free one bottle mineral water and they provide us free water refill in second floor.
