I’ve stayed in a fair amount of hostels as a solo traveler, but this is one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. It is situated close to the beach & restaurant area, & the property itself has a big common area & a beautiful outside area to meet & hang out with staff & other travelers. what makes this place unique, however, is the people who run it - they are so friendly, welcoming, & really care about you. If you are thinking of coming to varkala, then “Hostel Stories” is where you want to stay at for the good vibes!

HostelExp, Auroville - A Rural Retreat Experience se nachází v destinaci Auroville v regionu Tamil Nadu a nabízí zahradu. Šrí Aurobindo Ášram se nachází 10 km daleko a Manakula Vinayagar Temple 10 km.... the guys at the hostel were extremely helpful, accommodating and very friendly. they try to organize events most days for the guests -eg sing song around the bonfire, going to the beach, local musicians, movie night etc. The location, while a little bit outside the main 'town area" is still only 30 mins walk to pretty much the main attractions in Auroville - Visitors center, Matrimandir, Savitri Bhavan,. A nice bakery and ATMs, shops are again about 30 mins walk. There are a few restaurants about 20 mins walk away. I loved that the hostel is in a quiet location near the forest - less traffic noises. Meals are also available (breakfast, lunch, dinner- at an extra cost 150-200 rupees) , and laundry services as well. They also have a couple of bikes which can be rented. Great place - well worth the visit especially if you are on a budget

We spent new year's eve at Revibe and it was an amazing experience. The whole team at revibe went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable for everyone. The hostel is at the quieter end of Main Beach on Gokarna which was perfect, there were many food options and everything was clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Super warm and communal place, perfect for solo's and people who just want a younger vibe. Niaz was awesome, really sweet and inviting and he gave us all the help and information we needed. The dorms were nice and clean, comfy beds, good ac, and a good shower. We took a double room which was very comfortable! The location is about a 10 min walk to the shops on Princess st and the Port, and there are plenty of rickshaws on the street to get there quicker.

Great location, close to the beach and to the town. We walked quite a lot in Alleppey - it was easier here than in other places in India. The hosts were brilliant and helped us get train tickets to Kochi early the next morning. And the option to order food to the hostel and receive honest reviews of food places around was really great - everyone needs to go to Namaste Tiffin! The room was also gorgeous, one of the most palatial we experienced in India!
