I intended to stay here for only 1 night, but it ended up being 4 because I loved it so much. I’ve stayed in a fair amount of hostels as a solo traveler, but this is one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. It is situated close to the beach & restaurant area, & the property itself has a big common area & a beautiful outside area to meet & hang out with staff & other travelers. what makes this place unique, however, is the people who run it - they are so friendly, welcoming, & really care about you. If you are thinking of coming to varkala, then “Hostel Stories” is where you want to stay at for the good vibes!

First impressions was good! A very safe and comfortable hostel stay for travellers. Lovely yard and garden with fruit trees and lots of plants. This is a place for peace minded and for some great activities. I met some really nice people here. The owner and staff are really warm, welcoming, kind and will help you for any needs. They have a nice kitchen where you can cook your own meal. My overall experience was so good and it makes me feel I should visit again.

I cant say anything bad. The owner is taking care of you more than yourself :) 🙏 rooms and dormitory are very clean, there is a roof top so I did yoga there it's very nice. He is very thoughtful and talkative so I felt like I am staying with my friend not like in the guest house..

The hostel is clean, well maintained and has a great scenic view from the rooftop. The staff is warm and welcoming. My personal favourite were the evening activities organised by Deeya. She ensured we got access to some exclusive events inside Auroville including a pizza night at Youth Center, and a drumming circle at Dinesh restaurant. All in all, a relaxing and soothing stay with exciting new experiences!

Didn't spend much time here, arrived late at night. Beds were comfortable and I liked that one can use kitchen to cook food. Also, common area seemed good as well.
