Everything is very good. The staff can also speak English, although I speak Japanese to them. I think this hotel is very ideal not only for solo travellers, but also for groups of 2-4 people travelling together. I also recommend trying their Private Onsen. Will return again soon :)

I love this place! So many great places to explore nearby and the owners are the sweetest. They can give you lots of advice on what do and see. The onsen was very nice as well. It was nice to find an affordable, tradition ryokan in an amazing location.

I have stayed here four times already, and every time I come back I feel just as impressed as the first time. The host is incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming, while still giving guests plenty of privacy. Whenever I travel to the Chubu area, this is always my first choice of accommodation. And if I come back again in the future, I will definitely stay here again. I truly enjoy and appreciate every stay here.

Very enjoyable stay, close to a bus stop, not far from many restaurants, not too far from the train station. Most of all the host was so so lovely!

Well worth the effort to travel to experience a lovely ryokan, it's host and the town. I paid for dinner and I'm SO glad I did. It was a highlight of my stay and in deed a highlight of my 5 week trip in Japan. You sit in a sunken seating area and watch the ryokan owner/cook prepare what felt like a large number of individual dishes. The food was absolutely delicious. I was concerned about hearing other guests because, being an older house, the walls are thin - but the night I was there all the guests were respectfully quiet. I had a view over the "river" which may be a mis-nomer - but it is a peaceful stream running through the pretty street. I highly recommend a visit.

The owner and family are very welcoming and friendly. 10 min walk from shin kambara. Though the check in and hostel are at different places, it's only a minute away. Individual space is large enough to have all the bags fitted in your space. Family Mart and Indian food is just behind the hostel
